I’ve shared this photo before, but it was a good match for this week’s photo challenge. We were paddling along at Mallows Bay, when we spotted this raccoon foraging along the shore. She knew we could see her, and knew we were watching. It wasn’t until she was able to hide behind a low shrub that she felt safe enough to briefly make eye contact and see what we were up to.
Her peeking just piqued our interest!

Ingenious and cunning, yes, but not sure he’s demonic enough to be compared to Mephistopholes. The Lone Ranger wore a mask too!
