I’ve been rather disengaged lately – life keeps happening. Fitting in some good outdoorsy stuff here and there, but just not sharing.
All that is my problem, though, no need to burden you with it. Instead, I’d like to wish everyone a happy holiday weekend (even if it doesn’t involve days after work).
To celebrate in a purely secular way, we experimented with fire roasting Peeps, the little marshmallow and sugar chicks that reproduce this time of year. Here we have an image “Before”, where you can almost see the fear in its eyes.

Though they’re largely marshmallow, the sugar coating is a nice feature on a Peep. Instead of a flaming gooey mess, you get sort of a creme brulee effect where the sugar hardens into a shell that holds all the marshmallow together. I’ll call it a success.
Even if you have to confront this look of anger and horror!

Happy Easter!
Get Out There
I know Peeps are an Easter favorite, but s’mores were invented so we wouldn’t ever have to eat Peeps, either cooked or uncooked.

Laughing. Poor Peeps. They really do look angry. Sounds like they test delish however. If I ever find myself roasting marshmallows with Peeps around, I’ll be sure to give them a try.
