Tiny Crabs

DSC_0740

I know you can’t see any crabs in this picture, but that’s sort of the point.  It’s easy to take in the landscape – in this case tide pools left behind in an Atlantic inlet – and still completely miss the details.  You have to get out there and look.  These guys discovered that when they stopped and really got down into one of these pools, they found snails, mussels, and tiny crabs the size of a thumbnail.  They were fascinated – almost as much as if they’d had a video game handy!  (But much better, of course!)

I’ve been looking back at footage from our trip to Acadia National Park back in August, and putting together some Vlog-type movies for the YouTube channel.  Stay tuned for that, shortly!
