Today was clear, with sunny blue skies – except it was book-ended, early morning and just before sunset, with thick fog that appeared and disappeared in minutes.  It rolled in just before we finished the scramble down to the rocks at Bass Harbor Head.  But somehow the lighthouse looks more at home in these conditions.
