Another summer bloomer – Day Lilies!  So named because each bloom only lasts for a single day.  They are also pretty tasty – the unopened blooms, the flowers, and the tubers (day lilies grow from little fingerling-potato-like tubers as opposed to bulbs) are edible, raw or cooked as a vegetable.  Not just edible, but really good!
